Controversy
There is debate regarding including Indeterminate as an option in surveys, statistics and legal documents. Indeterminate not being a widely understood term outside the queer community, many intersex individuals being unaware of their variant and some feeling misrepresented by the term. Creating the risk of poor data quality.[4]
There's also the concern the term will increase stigma faced by children registered as indeterminate. And affect the legal rights of adults and children AIAB.[5]
