Abrogender was coined during or before 2015 by Tumblr user telescopephil. A concept for the flag was created on January 14th, 2018 by Tumblr user abrogender and on January 16th, 2018 a cleaner version of that flag was posted by Tumblr user booksbroadwayb99 through submission to uncommongenders.
