Androcupiosappho refers to someone who might sexually identify as a gay man or vincian/is sexually attracted to men, but they are willing to have sex with women, despite experiencing no sexual attraction towards women.[1] The reasons for these activities, include but is not limited to: pleasure, economic reasons, reproduction, artistic expression, etc. It can be considered a more specific form of both cupiogex and minkalosfem.

The term might be useful for people whose sexual attraction is different from their other types of attraction (varioriented). Such people might not feel comfortable with the term “gay” or "vincian", since their other types of attraction are not exclusive to men.

The sapphic equivalent is sapphocupioandro.

Flags

The first flag was coined by Tumblr user beyond-mogai-pride-flags on March 14th of 2015. It has no confirmed meaning.

The next three flags were coined by Cryptocrew, specifically system-member Weniviere, on January 27th of 2021. Pink represents feminine men, dark pink represents gender non-conforming men, red represents pronoun non-conforming men, white represents men who are fluid in presentation, turqoise represents xenic/outherine presenting men, dark blue represents masculine men, mid-blue represents androgynous/neutral men, and light blue represents any other presentation. The three versions of this flag is for periorientated androcupiosappho individuals, androcupiosappho individuals who interact sexually with women due to sex work, and androcupiosappho individuals who interact sexually with women for other reasons.

On the periorientated version, the red heart represents romance (or another form of attraction) and adoration and passion, and the symbol represents women.

On the sex worker version, the red umbrella represents strength and sexual behavior with women, as well as sex work.

On the 'other' version, black represents passion, the flower represents delicate interaction and kindness, and the many shades of green represent respect towards women, and women as a whole.
