Definitions
- a standalone term and a way to group/describe all MOGAI genders related to space, planets, stars, etc. (not really including aliens). - MM at mogai-wiki, 2020[1]
- When I came up with Astronogender, I forgot to add that it was made as a subcategory of sciencegender, so there was a word specifically for space-based science genders. That’s why it can be used alongside Xenogender for categorizing genders (as Xenogender is typically less science-based space genders) and doesn’t include genders related to aliens. That doesn’t mean that only space-related genders that are also sciencegenders are the only astronogenders, just that Astronogender was created to use in place of sciencegender for space genders, while also including some non-sciencegender space-related genders. - MM at mogai-wiki, 2020[2]
- Astronogender is a subgroup of Scigender (like I said), so that means that more aesthetic, ‘cutesy’, alien-related, void-related, etc. terms don’t fit under it. Neither do terms that are related to feeling like you’re from another planet or anything like that. For example, terms like Adflatusgender, Stargender, Benevoid, Altegender, B*y, etc. are only Xenogenders and not Astronogenders. - MM at mogai-wiki, 2020[3]
History
Astronogender was specifically coined as a categorizing term for other genders.
