Genderclipping is an audiogender where one's feelings about their gender(s) is so intense or “loud” that they are having trouble making sense of them. It is based on the sound phenomena of “clipping,” where a sound signal is distorted (sometimes until it can’t be recognized) from being too intense because of what it’s being routed through.

History

Genderclipping was coined on or before August 23, 2014 by Tumblr user MOGAI-Archive.

Flag
