MOGAI-Watch

MOGAI-Watch is the common username of a transphobic anti-MOGAI blogger who has been active since at least 2014 and seems to have become inactive in July of 2020.

Life

M-A has stated she is an anthropologist.^{[citation needed]} She may have children.^[1]

M-A is a cisgender bisexual woman. She is also a Jewish atheist.^[2]

Known For

MOGAI-Watch started the blog in sometime in August of 2014. Context seems to indicate this was in direct response to the wave of "anti-SJW" blogging on Tumblr at the time, with one of their first posts being a reblog that says "Reblog this if you’re an anti-SJW blog that disagrees with Nazis and White Supremacists,^[3]" and then one of their second posts being a reblog of a now-notorious post by a transphobic troll claiming it was offensive not to refer to animals by gender-neutral pronouns.^[4] The title seems to indicate the blog was meant to be a direct "response" to the now-defunct MOGAI-Archive. She has a main Tumblr, a Tumblr specific to poems written to mock "MOGAI" genders,, a Gumroad^[5], a Twitter^[6], and an entire wiki on Wikidot, which is called Mogaipedia^[7]. Mogaipedia is a pure "flop"/"cringe" site, posting terms to mock them, including organizing terms by "Most Offensive" and "Worst Flags."

Her blog's content is transphobic in nature on the basis of being anti-MOGAI content made by a cis person, and her one-time once large following can open up anyone whose content she reblogs up to harassment. MOGAI-Watch also published a book^[8], From Aliengender to Zodiacgendeder: The MOGAI-Watch Anthology, which at one point was #1 in Amazon's Gender Studies category. As of 2021, the book does not appear in Amazon's store but can be obtained on Gumroad.^[9]

Controversy

A submission to M-A's blog, context indicating she agrees with the concept of trans women being excluded from women's sports or at least finds the original poster "cringy."

Mogai-watch, a cisgender bisexual, answering an ask about GNC lesbians and asserting that they're not actually lesbians.

M-A is frequently transphobic, and despite being cisgender and bisexual frequently "disagrees" with intracommunity issues, especially those about nonbinary genders and orientations she is not.

Ableism

On both Mogaipedia and her blog itself, M-A frequently uses ableism to mock terms she personally disproves of. Examples of this include referring to MOGAI as a delusion^[11], mocking age regression^[12], mocking panic disorders,^[13] compulsions,^[14], chronic pain^[15], maladaptive daydreaming^[16], triggers,^[17] and trauma survivors^[18], or otherwise being ableist.^[19]^[20]. Despite not having DID or a system, she openly claims that genders relating to plurality are all fake and has mocked terms made by systems^[21]^[22]. M-A is not autistic^{[citation needed]} but has always been open about how Autigender terms are harmful, ignoring any autistics who may use those terms and reblogging from those who agree.^[23]. Despite this frequent ableist behavior, she also claims that it is the people coining these genders themselves who are causing ableist oppression.^[24] On one ocassion, she reposted an explanatory comic about neurogenders and said it "caused her agony."^[25]

Racism

On her poem blog, M-A keeps a tag for "Pocgenders,^[26]" where she openly mocks genders made by people of color that relate specifically to their racial and cultural identities.

Ignoring Boundaries and Harassment

In at least one occasion, she has uploaded a term to Mogaipedia despite the original coining post of a term having a specified banner that mentions reposting to "cringe" sites causes the OP panic attacks.^{[citation needed]}

M-A frequently ignores boundaries and when active, would constantly reblog posts that ask truscum to not^[27] interact^[28]^[29]. In at least one occassion, her large following has opened up people she reblogged from to harassment, which she then claimed was not her fault whatsoever.
