Mediagender (also called Mediafluid) is a gender capable of being influenced by the media one is currently engaging with. It is also a term for when one's gender feels like it changes depending on the media being viewed.

Mediagender is sometimes used interchangeably with Fictigender.

The term was created on March 11, 2017 by tumblr blog Ask-Pride-Color-Schemes, after they received a troll ask but felt that the term might be useful.[1]

So some anon sent a troll ask pretending to be real right at the same time they send hatemail so they both got deleted when I blocked the hatemail. (Bronze star I don’t think u tried at all)


Anyway they were asking for a term for when your gender changes depending on what TV show you were watching. And I was like “yeah this def was written by a troll but a term for this might actually be useful for people so I might as well coin something anyway”. So here it is:
