Paragender

Paragender is a gender that is very near but not quite another gender. It may also be used as an umbrella term for other genders with the prefix "para-".

Etymology

The prefix para- comes from the Greek prefix meaning "beside" or "near".[1][2]

The Paragender flag, made by pridearchive, was originally meant to be used for Paranonbinary, however the flag is also used for Paragender.

Pridearchive's Paragender/Paranonbinary flag has the following color meanings: "Grey: Partial gender. White: Lack of gender. Yellow: Nonbinary. Green: A colour near yellow on the colour wheel, this symbolises the “near-ness” of paranonbinary".[3] Many are uncomfortable using strwbryfemme's Paragender flag due to their exclusionist and steliphobic beliefs.[5]
